Let us understand this with a simple example. E.g. a user is in the mobile selling business. Such a person has to maintain the stock category-wise. In BharatBills he can add ‘Mobile’ as a category (where all the mobile brands can be considered a part of this parent category). Further, he can add a subcategory (e.g. company name), under the parent category.

He can maintain the stock of a mobile such in the following fashion: Sasmsung JS is a product, under the category Samsung which is again a part of the parent category Mobiles. i.e. Samsung JS->Samsung->Mobile.

BharatBills give the user, complete freedom to choose the names and numbers of categories. The user can create as many levels of categories as he wants.

Add Category

Steps to Add a Category in BharatBills:

  • Click on  Category -> Add
  • Enter the Category Name
  • Enter the Description
  • Search the Parent Category name if you are creating a sub-category for any existing category.
  • If you don’t want any parent category for the newly added category, please ignore this option and click on Submit.

On the bases on product businessman select the supplier also that’s why a businessman has to decide the product first or business type.

Product Menu
  • Click on the Products
  • Category – First add a category
  • Product – Add Product
  • Stock Journal – It’s for internal stock movement

Under the Product section, there is two option like Add and View. 

  • Click on add Product
  • Select the category name from the drop-down list
  • Enter the item name as your Product name
  • Add Description – Optional not required it’s just for user information. it will not reflect anywhere on Tax Invoice
  • Select the Unit of Measure As UOM1 – like what will be the unit of sale or purchase for this product
  • Select the Alternate Unit of Measure as UOM2 – Option as a user can Enable/disable this field from Master configuration. Conversion is like what will be the conversion of UOM2 from UOM1.
  • Enter the Sale Rate – it’s optional but once you enter any amount in that will system will automatically inform you of sale amount at the time of sale
  • Enter the Purchase Rate – It’s also an optional field.
  • Rate on – Sale rate applicable on which unit of measure
  • Select the applicable GST%
  • Enter the HSN code if you want to maintain the HSN code
  • Select the Product type
    • Stockable – If you want to maintain the stock of this product
    • Service – This type will not maintain the stock of product
    • Consumable – If you are not going to sale this product than select as consumable
  • Level – Minimum, Reorder and the Maximum  level is to maintain the level of your stock which will notify you as per the value you enter
  • Opening Quantity – Please Enter the available quantity which is available at the time of product add.
  • Click on submit button to Save your product.

    • Rate
    • GST%
    • Current Stock

  • Click on view option to check the details

  • Click on Back Button if you want to go back
  • Click on Edit button if you want to change something
  • Once you click on Edit Button system will allow you to change

  • click on Update button once you have done with modification.

BharatBills have that option for its user os that user can delete the entry but also have some limitation for security reasons. Step to delete a Product in BharatBills-

  • Click on Products -> Products -> View
  • Click on the View option of that product which you want to delete
Product Details
  • Click on the Delete Button if you want to delete.

Remarks: You can delete a Product only if there is no document against of that product in software.

  • View –  To check the list of all Stock Journal entry, User can Check the details also from this section
  • Delete –  User can Delete the recent entry of Stock Journal in View Section

Add Stock Journal Document : 

Stock journal
  • Click on Product -> Stock Journal – > Add
  • Document No. is automatic system generated a unique document number
  • Select the Date
  • You can Select The Location If You are working with Multilocation Module in BharatBills
  • Select the Item Generated
  • Select the item Consumed
  • Click on Save Button to save the document.
